John Terry’s wife Toni becomes first WAG to represent country in sport

As England defender John Terry gets ready for the Three Lions’ World Cup opener against the US tonight, his wife Toni has become the first WAG to represent her country in sport.

Toni has been chosen to ride dressage for the England national team.

“I am thrilled to be chosen to ride for England. John is of course extremely proud of me too. I have been training up to six days a week and all the hard work has paid off,” The Daily Express quoted Toni, as saying.

The 28-year-old said that dressage began as a hobby for her, as she is a devoted horse lover, but she soon realized that she was a talented rider.

She made her dressage debut last year, performing a presentation at the London International Horse Show at Olympia.

Toni at that time had said that it would be her dream to represent her country in the sport.
