The first of the five Ashes Tests will be held at The Gabba in Brisbane from November 25 to 29, it has been confirmed.

Cricket Australia has released its schedule for the 2010-11 season, which is headlined by the five-Test Ashes series between Australia and current holders England, reports The Courier Mail.

The Gabba Test will be followed by Tests in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and then Sydney.

Two Twenty20 clashes and a seven-match one-day series have also been scheduled between Australia and England.

Tickets for the Ashes series will go on sale to Australian Cricket Family members on July 14 and to the general public from July 20.

The "summer" of cricket will open with a limited overs series - one Twenty20 clash and three one-day matches - against Sri Lanka, starting on October 31 in Perth.

Queensland will also play host to a tour match between the Bulls and Sri Lanka, on October 22.
