Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has refused to react to Gary Kirsten's scathing remarks about the Indian Premier League. N Srinivasan, the secretary of the Board said he was not aware of the comments by the Indian coach.
"What did he say and when did he say that," Srinivasan said, when asked for his formal reaction. "I have no comments to make at this stage because I haven't seen or heard them." Srinivasan was in London on Tuesday. Asked if he would take up the matter with the Indian coach, the Board secretary said he would have to ascertain what he said first. "I will check it first. You can call me later," Srinivasan said.
Asked if he would meet the players and the coach, the Board secretary said he did know about it yet. "I'm in London now and the team is playing in Nottingham. So I cannot say when I can meet them," the Board official said.
Lalit Modi, who is also in London, could not be reached for his reaction.
