Sex video blackmail case: Karim Benzema suspended indefinitely by France

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been suspended indefinitely from the France team because of the blackmail case he is embroiled in, the French federation (FFF) president told a news conference on Thursday.
Benzema was put under formal investigation last month in connection with an alleged attempt to blackmail fellow footballer Mathieu Valbuena over a sex video.

However, the case, could also see Valbuena out of the France squad. "The latest revelations of Mathieu Valbuena and judicial timetable make the return of Karim Benzema to the France team very improbable," wrote L'Equipe. "But the international future of Valbuena is also in doubt." Earlier Benzema was arrested  as part of an investigation into a blackmail case over a sex tape involving Valbuena. The duo was also left out of the recent friendlies of France.
