Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the latest to pay respects to the late Phillip Hughes. Tributes continue to pour in after the town of Macksville gathered for an emotional farewell. Prime Minister Modi tweeted saying that Hughes’ game and exuberance was what won him the love of the World, and the gathering at Macksville is a reflection of the fact. He says that the late batsman will be missed and the world will be poorer without him.

A number of cricketers, sportsmen, fans, supporters, and even people with no direct relation to Hughes Tweeted their support for his family and their condolences on his demise. The funeral was held at Hughes’ hometown of Macksville.
