Team India sponsor Nike has unveiled the squad's jersey for the upcoming 2015 World Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday.
India will also participate in a tri-series involving Australia and England starting on Friday, with their February 15 World Cup opener against Pakistan being the most awaited contest of the season. Skipper MS Dhoni said that the front part of the jersey has strands inspired by the Indian flag's Ashok Chakra. Dhoni confirmed that jersey is 'light, comfortable and packed with innovation' to help minimize distractions during games.
The World Cup would start from February 14-March 29, which wll be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Every kit ( including jersey and bottoms) is made out of an average of 33 recycled plastic bottles. Nike's Dri-FIT and Pro Baselayer technologies would regulate body temperature through increased venting and breathability, thus allowing players to stay focused. 'Laser ventilation holes and breathable engineered knit' is also abled to aid body cooling during match time.

Nike also unveiled the Nike LunarDominate (Batting) and Nike LunarAccelerate (Bowling) which offers a 'innovation and support' for cricketers. Comprising of 'Lunarlon Technology', the footwear also has 'lock-down and adaptive fit' thanks to innovative 'dynamic Flywire wraps'.
