Michael Phelps wed-locked Nicole Johnson privately this summer

Decorated American Olympian Michael Phelps married his fiance Nicole Johnson all the way back in June in a private wedding ceremony in Maricopa County, Ariz. The marriage license was issued June 9, 2016 and the wedding was officiated by Phelp's agent and longtime friend Peter Carlisle, reported E! Online. The pair welcomed a baby boy named Boomer Phelps in May, about a month before they officially tied the knot.

In the months leading up to the secret nuptial, Johnson had shared a few details of what fans could expect on the big day. However, as it turns out, the proud mom appears to have left one big point out, the celebration had already occurred.

"It'll be small and intimate for the wedding, and then we?re throwing a massive bash for everyone in the states," she shared, adding, "I've been planning as we've been leading up to this, so I think I have the wedding in order and now it's on to the party for the fun."

Phelps, former competitive swimmer, is the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a total of 28 medals out of which 23 were gold.
