Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has strongly hinted that goalkeeper David De Gea might be headed to Real Madrid.

During the Sunday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford, De Gea suffered from a hamstring injury, leaving the doubt that he may miss United's last match of the season at Hull City next weekend.

Van Gaal said that De Gea was Spanish and now a Spanish club was coming to him, the BBC reported.

He added that it becomes difficult for him, as his girlfriend was Spanish and his parents come every two weeks to watch him.

De Gea, who was signed from Atletico Madrid four years ago for 18.9 million pounds, developed into one of the world's best goalkeepers at Old Trafford.

Manchester United boss van Gaal insisted that De Gea knew everything that he had with Manchester United at this point of time.
