Instant messaging app WhatsApp has released an update for Windows Phone. The update introduces voice calling facility and the ability to send audio files to those running Windows Phone 8.1.
The feature has already been introduced for iOS and Android earlier this year and now Windows Phone users can finally benefit from it. WhatsApp has more than 800 million active users. VoIP (Voice over IP) feature of WhatsApp is now available on all three phone platforms. WhatsApp can now focus on updating and improving the overall calling feature to make it compete with Skype and Viber.
