Soon after Nokia released their mid-range Nokia 6 smartphone, rumours about a high-end device by the company are surfacing online. The smartphone was reportedly spotted in a video at CES 2017, and was used to demonstrate the next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 825 processor.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Nokia 8 will come in two variants - Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB RAM 24 MP OIS + EIS rear camera along with a 12MP front-facing camera. It is also likely to include dual front-facing speakers. In terms of storage, the device will include an internal storage of 64GB or 128GB along with microSD card. On the other hand, the more affordable variant, will sport a Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB RAM. The Nokia 8 is also believed to include Carl Zeiss optics, as spotted on previous Nokia smartphones.

The official name of the smartphone isn’t final, but it is a likely choice for HMD, given that the first Nokia handset to launch this year is called Nokia 6. It would also conveniently fall in line with the impending nomenclature of Samsung and Apple's next flagship phones.

Both smartphones are featured in the video below:
