Twitter suffers a partial outage

Twitter users faced a temporary disconnect from the micro-blogging website as it went through a partial outage, say reports.

According to AFP report, users experienced problems on the Twitter app in their Android and iPhone smartphones. Users of TweetDeck, a computer application also faced issues as tweets appeared to be posted a year ago,

Users resorted to report the problem to Twitter. The company replied saying "Something is technically wrong," on its welcome page said. "Thanks for noticing-we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon. It did not shed light on the nature of the problem, said the report.

The recent cyberattack on Sony Pictures - blamed on North Korea by United States - has resulted in the leak of confidential emails and near-pulling off of the release of the film 'The Interview'. 

Recently Sony Playstation and Xbox too suffered a disruption in their service after being cyberattacked by a group.
