TomTom is expanding its offering, with the company announcing exciting launches for fitness fans this week at electronics trade show IFA.

TomTom Runner 3 and TomTom Spark 3

TomTom has updated its existing Runner and Spark sports watches with Route Exploration, giving runners an easy way to change up their workout by exploring new trails. With TomTom's expert GPS knowledge you'll be able to choose a different route every time -- and without the risk of getting lost.

New unexplored routes can be taken from the MySports website and downloaded on the Runner 3 or Spark 3 watches and, once completed, shared with friends to add a social element even if you run alone and help motivate one another. With a comfortable slimmer strap and sports modes for swim, cycle and gym, both sport watches have also been designed to be worn all day and for a variety of workouts. A built-in music player will also help you to keep going for longer.

TomTom Spark 3 Cardio + Music and Runner 3 Cardio + Music are available for preorder on http://www.tomtom.com and will be available from October.

TomTom Touch

The TomTom Touch promises that you can "Find Out What You're Made Of," quite literally, as the tracker is the first on the market to offer a body composition analysis to tell you your muscle and fat percentage.

Designed to be worn on the wrist 24/7, the Touch offers the standard tracking of steps, heart rate, calories, and sleep, and like many other wearables can also be used for running, cycling or the gym. However it's the body composition feature which really sets it apart from other fitness trackers, and will reveal if all those workouts are actually helping to reduce fat and increase muscle, and all without the need for expensive machines.

The TomTom Touch is available in a range of colored straps and also enables you to share your results and progress with friends by syncing up to the TomTom MySports companion app on your smartphone.

TomTom Touch is available for pre-order on www.tomtom.com/fitness and will be available from October.

TomTom Adventurer

For those who prefer to take their workout into the great outdoors, TomTom has designed the TomTom Adventurer, a sturdier and tougher fitness tracking watch to stand up to sports such as hiking, trail running, skiing and snowboarding.

The watch will track performance across a variety of non-extreme sports such as running, cycling, swimming, and gym, but TomTom has also added extra features for the outdoor adventurer, including a compass, Route Exploration, and automatic lift detection for snow sports, giving users live stats on their skiing including altitude, descent and gradient.

The TomTom Adventurer will be available from October. More information can be found on www.tomtom.com/outdoor.
