Snapchat has transformed over time from a simple photo-sharing focused messaging app, to a full blown instantmessaging client, and it just got another major update.

Snapchat's Chat 2.0 update for Android and iOS brings VoIP and video calling to the messaging app. A single button press when your friend is live and you can both be chatting in real time in an instant. If the person you're trying to contact is too busy, however, you can leave a voicemail or video note that they can check later. In addition, the platform has also added chat stickers, just like in Facebook Messenger.

Another new feature is Auto-Advance Stories; when you finish a Story, the next one begins automatically. You can then swipe to skip ahead, or pull down to exit. The new features are a clear shot at claiming users from other apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
