Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his congratulations on the launch conducted by the state-run Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) that went off smoothly and was carried live on national TV news channels.

In a proud moment for the country, India on Wednesday scripted history by launching 104 satellites on a single rocket.
The space agency launched satellites using its PSLV-C37 workhorse for the mission, which had a previous best of 20 simultaneous satellite launches.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO for its remarkable achievement. “Congratulations to @isro for the successful launch of PSLV-C37 and CARTOSAT satellite together with 103 nano satellites!” he tweeted.

Space agency chief A S Kiran Kumar also stated that PM Narendra Modi has congratulated the ISRO team for its successful launch of 104 satellites.
PSLV first launched the 714 kg CARTOSAT-2 Series satellite for earth observation and then injected 103 co-passenger satellites, together weighing about 664 kg at lift-off into polar Sun Synchronous Orbit, about 520 km from Earth.
