New sneakers feature Wi-Fi and working video display

An interesting pair of shoe has made an appearance. Virgin America First Class Shoe, devised by US creative agency Eleven Inc, include some of the coolest high-end features, which you would normally find on a smartphone.

Inspired by Virgin America’s First Class amenities, these one-of-a-kind pair of shoes feature a Wi-Fi hotspot, a built-in phone charging port, a tiny, working video display, three-hour battery life and a seatbelt buckle for that in-flight feel. It has been specially crafted from white Italian leather with an embossed Virgin America logo as well. Sadly, you cannot rush out right now to purchase them. 

This item is the only pair available in the world! Virgin America also claims they are the only shoes to date to incorporate these unconventional elements, which are powered by a rechargeable battery.

This pair is being auctioned off at eBay and the proceeds will be donated to Soles4Souls, a non-profit charity committed to fighting poverty through the distribution of shoes and clothing. At the time of writing, the bid was at $8,900, with five days left. 

Mike McKay, chief creative officer at Eleven, told Creativity Online: "Virgin America fliers are fashionable, sophisticated, and almost impossible to reach with traditional advertising. But we knew sneaker trends were very popular with our target audience. "So we wanted to showcase the airline's features in a unique way - so our target would actually take notice."

These shoes resemble to the Nike Mags, which tighten automatically once the foot is inserted. The company is reportedly releasing 89 pairs of the shoes to support Fox's charitable foundation, which raises funds and awareness for Parkinson's disease.
