Microsoft Garage launches Tossup, an app to poll friends and make plans

The users can provide suggestions for the place to eat, while friends vote on their preferences and pick a time with calendar.

Microsoft's Garage group has launched a cross-platform app called Tossup on iOS and Android.

According to thenextweb.com, Tossup allows the users to invite friends via email, SMS or Facebook to vote on options for things like restaurants, things to do or places to go.

Polls can be simple yes or no questions and they have also got the choice of allowing custom suggestions. The users can provide suggestions for the place to eat, the app will pull up ratings and reviews from Yelp and details, while friends vote on their preferences and pick a time with calendar that is integrated in the app.

Tossup will then collects yes or no counts to help form a consensus. The users also have the option to connect their calendar to automatically add the events to their schedule and the app even includes its own chat interface should the users need to sort out finer details.

Tossup is now available on Android and iOS now.
