Oregon-based tech company InFocus unveiled an entire array of products that will hit the Indian market over the next few months. It’s part of the company’s grand game plan for India where it has set itself a revenue target of $1billion for calendar year 2016.

The main focus was on its line up of smartphones that Indian consumers can snag starting September 2015. 3D phones have been a tough sell but that hasn’t deterred InFocus from betting big on the M550 3D, an Android smartphone that does away with the need for 3D glasses with its naked 3D technology.

You can view images and videos on 3D; the 3D experience doesn’t stop there. You can click images with the 3D camera (you need to click twice with a short gap though) and game in 3D mode. The device features two 5MP front facing cams that allow you to click 3D selfies too. The device is priced at Rs 15,999; InFocus hopes the sub Rs 20,000 price tag might tempt smartphone users who are willing to experiment.

The spotlight might have been on the 3D device but it was the all-metal M812 that caught our attention. The similarities with the iPhone 6 plus were not difficult to spot. This 5.5-inch device finished with anodized aluminium is powered by a Snapdragon 2.5GHz processor with 3GB of RAM. At Rs 19,999 this device will assume the role of InFocus’ flagship device and battle out with formidable competitors in the Rs 20,000-25,000 price band. InFocus also launched two other Android smartphones – M808 and M370 along with a trio of feature phones; the company did not reveal the price points of these feature phones. All devices will be manufactured by Foxconn one of the world’s best known electronic ‘contract’ manufacturing firms. The company also revealed that it will be moving most of its India mobile product line to Foxconn’s Chennai manufacturing facility in a phased manner.

One of the other devices that stood out was a 2-in-1 hybrid tablet with a 10.6 FHD screen and the ability to run both Android and Windows. The tablet also comes with its own keyboard – reminiscent of the Surface. It’s likely that the product might ditch Android and position itself as a productivity-driven device sporting Windows. This product is likely to reach stores by October, InFocus did not divulge the likely price tag. Aside from mobile devices, InFocus showcased a range of LED and Full HD TVs ranging from 24-inches to 60-inches that the company hopes to launch in time for the Diwali festive season.
