‘Divine’ doc held; Rs1.98 cr seized

Ashok Jadeja, a homeopath who is accused of defrauding people of crores of rupees by claiming to have supernatural powers, was arrested by CID (crime) on Sunday, along with his wife, Nitu.

The police are expected to seek Jadeja on remand when they produce him in court on Monday. The couple were arrested on Sunday morning when they were returning to Sarkhej from Chharanagar in a Maruti Alto car. The police also recovered around Rs1.98 crore from the couple.
