For the first time after 26/11, India and Pakistan will talk water-related issues in Delhi from May 30 to June 3.

Foreign office sources said a high-level Pakistani delegation led by water commissioner Jamaat Ali Shah would leave for India on a five-day visit on May 30. The team will include officers of Wapda, Nespak, Punjab Irrigation and other departments

The Indian delegation will be led by water commissioner G Ranganathan. The sources said Pakistan would raise the issue of stoppage of Chenab water in August 2008, besides demanding compensation for the “water loss Pakistan has suffered” due to it.
