The recovery of two country-made bombs from a garbage pit near Nirmalpura crossroad has the Shaherkotda police on toes.

According to the police, the bombs were found from a dustbin in the area at around 11 am on Thursday. PB Jadeja, PI at Shaherkotda police station, said, "The bombs were kept inside a dustbin and were like tin boxes; they contained gun powder and were wrapped with ropes and covered with a plastic." Jadeja also said that prima facie it appears that the bombs were dysfunctional since they looked like they were kept there long back.

Earlier on Thursday morning, tension brewed after an AMC sweeper, who was disposing the garbage, spotted the bombs. On receiving information, the Shaherkotda police reached the spot and seized the bombs.
