Indians will try to defend their title when 12 teams from eight countries will vie for honour in the second edition of the lawyers' Cricket World Cup commencing from July 26 in Cambridge.

Besides India, other contenders of the 10-day tournament will be from hosts England, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.

India, who won the inaugural edition in Hyderabad in 2007-08, and the West Indies will send two teams each, the organisers said.

The teams would be divided into two pools and all sides in each pool will play in a round-robin league format, while top two teams from each pool will enter the semi-final.

Final of the biennial event will be held at The Oval here on August 4.

A seminar on 'The new International Criminal Court and Sports Law' will also be organised on the sideline of the cricket tournament, organisers said.
