Woman charges lover with assault

The Satellite police on Thursday registered a complaint against a high court staff and his friend for misbehaving with a woman and assaulting her. The victim, Seema Khan Mishra alias Seema Salim Khan Pathan, lodged a complaint against Vijay Singh Jadeja, a high court staff, and his friend Gadhvi.

A source said that Seema was having an affair with Jadeja, who had promised to marry her. According to case details, on April 4 at around 7.30 pm, Seema had gone for shopping at Himalaya Mall. In the meantime, Jadeja and Gadhvai also arrived at the mall, and asked her to come along with them for a drive.

The three were heading towards Drive-in road when Gadhvi’s uncle spotted them. Fearing his uncle would cite the encounter to spoil his reputation, Gadhvi asked Jadeja to drop Seema home. She, however, refused to get out of the car, claiming that Jadeja had promised to marry her. But Jadeja’s repeated pleas mellowed her down and she agreed to step out of the car.

Later, on the same day, Jadeja and Gadhvi visited Seema at her house in Krishnadham Society. Seema, who was infuriated over the evening incident, charged Jadeja saying that despite proposing to marry her, he was afraid of taking her out, thinking it would mar his social reputation.

Irked over the altercation they had over the issue, Jadeja tore off Seema’s clothes. Gadhvi also joined in, and together they assaulted her. Seema lodged a complaint against Jadeja and Gadhvi with the Satellite police who are investigating the case.
