Barely a week after her marriage, a woman eloped with her lover and later informed her husband and own family members that she wanted to live with her lover. The woman’s father lodged complaint at the Satellite police station.

Police sources said that Hasmukh Dagi, a resident of Krishna Dham society near Vejalpur railway crossing under Satellite police station had got his daughter Zinal, 19, married off to Kiran Dagi, a resident of Narol on April 26. Four days later she came to her father’s house on April 30.

On May 2, Zinal left from her father’s house at around 7.45 pm on the pretext of getting her mobile recharged. But when she failed to turn up even after a long time, the worried family members started enquiring with their relatives. The next day, the father lodged a complaint at the Satellite police station about his missing daughter.

However, two days later, on May 4, Zinal called up her husband to let him know that she was having an affair with her neighbour, one Alkesh Darji, works in a pharmacy shop, and hence wanted to divorce Dagi. The husband agreed to divorce Zinal.
According to Satellite police, on Tuesday Zinal reached her house along with her lover.

Zinal’s family members had also asked her husband to come to their house. The family members of the girl approached the Satellite police station for a settlement. Police also said that the husband had even agreed before the police to live with Zinal provided she discontinued her relationship with her lover.

In the meantime, the Satellite police have sent the girl with her family members and are investigating the case.
