Man kills wife, self in Haridwar

Under a burden of heavy debt, a man allegedly shot himself dead after killing his wife at Kumhargarha locality here, police said on Friday.
    
The incident took place yesterday when 42-year-old Charan Singh, a property dealer, shot his wife Kusum dead and then turned the gun on himself.

A suicide note has been recovered from near the bodies in which Singh has written that he is taking the extreme step as he was unable to return the money which he had borrowed from a man.
    
The bodies have been sent for postmortem, police said.
