Mahima Chaudhry upstages Babaria

Bollywood actor Mahima Chaudhry was greeted by a loud “jai madi” when some prompted her of the importance of Ma Shikotar for the Chhara community.

Hundreds of Chharas thronged the narrow lanes of Chharanagar at Kubernagar when the actor of Pardes fame hit the roads to campaign for Congress candidate Deepak Babaria, on Wednesday evening.

Mahima was escorted by high security through the crowds. The people who had lined the roads were busy taking her photograph on their mobile phones and cameras, and shouted to greet her.

When she took the microphone in her hand, the Congress candidate, Deepak Babaria, was forgotten. He was found hunting for a way to exit the stage and secure himself before the crowd began chasing Mahima’s car.

Mahima visited Rajendra park at Odhav; Khokhra Circle; Shahpur; Shivam apartments at Vadaj, in addition to Chharanagar at Kubernagar, during the course of campaigning.
