The horror of high-profile dummy writer scam continues to haunt the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). After the filing of 'C' summery report by police, board officials have maintained silence over the issue. However, sources in the department said that the decision was politically influenced.

"We can't say anything at this juncture as we are yet to receive the report, submitted by police. Once the report arrives to us, we will take appropriate action," said Hasmukh Adhia, chairman of GSHSEB.

However, one of the senior board officials, on condition of anonymity, said that department has enough evidence against the accused and they will challenge the report submitted by the police after the court gives its decision.

A PIL has also been filed in Gujarat High Court by a senate member of Gujarat University, Manish Doshi, and the matter is sub-judice. The board had indicated in its primary report that principal of HB Kapadia School, Ranjita Gill, its trustee Muktak Kapadia, Swastik Shishu Vihar School trustee Raja Pathak, and Sant Kabir school principal Rashmi Trivedi were guilty in the case.

"The report filed by the police is politically influenced and it is quite obvious. The accused belong to highly influential families. They might have been told to do away with the case as soon as possible as it is also related to the children of two top builders," said a source in the board.
