He may not have been able to cash in on the success of his popular film Rang De Basanti but actor Kunal Kapoor insists he is finicky about selecting roles and would not do any run-of-the-mill film just for commercial glory.

The actor, last seen in cameo roles in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Welcome to Sajjanpur and who began his acting career opposite Tabu with M F Hussain's film  Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities, was first noticed for his performance as a rebel collegiate in Rang De Basanti.

"I am very finicky about my roles. Although it has taken a lot of time for me to realise, but now I know what kind of films I want to do," the actor said.

Currently the 33-year-old actor is excited about his upcoming film Lamha, which revolves around issues in Kashmir Valley and has been directed by Rahul Dholakia of Parzania fame. The film will hit the theatres in August this year.

"Lamha is a film that brings out the Kashmir issue with utmost sincerity and honesty. It is not a jingoist film as we have tried to put forth many perspectives, be it that of
a terrorist, a politician or just common people," says the actor.

In the film Kapoor says he plays a youth political leader who has has been a victim of violence and has come to the conclusion that, "violence does no good to nobody".

So does that mean we will see lot of Kunal Kapoor in the near future? "Yes. After these two films, I have Anurag Kashyap's, Doga in which I play a superhero and Nandeep
Singh's untitled film," says the Delhi-based actor.

"I would now do films which have a new perspective to offer, a fresh feel for the audience," says Kapoor, who was in recently the capital to participate in a seminar on animation and visual affects.

The actor has lent his voice to the  character of Lord Rama in his upcoming animated flick, Mahayoddha Rama. Kapoor, who believes that animation can reach audiences from six to 60 year olds, says the film reinvents Lord Ram's character especially for the youth.

"It presents the arrogance, the anger, the romance, and the mischievous side of Rama which has not been explored earlier," says the actor.

The animation, is scheduled for release later this year and features the voices of Sameera Reddy who is featured as the voice of Sita while Bollywood's bad man Gulshan Grover has lent his voice to Ravana.
