For chief minister Sheila Dikshit, who is basking in the glory for steering Congress to power for the third-time in Delhi, the shoe-throwing incident of a Sikh journalist has come as a blessing in disguise as the act has booted out her arch rivals Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar.

"With the ouster of the duo from the Delhi Lok Sabha race, Dikshit is in complete command of the city's politicos as her loyalist and Delhi Speaker Yoganand Shahstri's is being tipped for South Delhi Lok Sabha seat," sources said.

"Dikshit has been lucky once again. Her two biggest rivals have bitten the dust and their political fortunes are sagging
till they are given new posts. Nothing could have been better than this for her," they added.

After Kumar and Tytler were pulled out from South Delhi and Northeast Delhi Lok Sabha seats, Congress has maintained suspense as to who will be its new nominees.

The sources said from day one, Dikshit was not pleased with the party's decision to give tickets to her arch rivals and sitting MPs Tytler and Kumar as she felt that nominating them from the newly carved seats will anger Sikhs across the
country.

The "shoe-act" of Jarnail Singh against home minister P Chidambaram during a press briefing recently has certainly dented the poll prospects of the two political stalwarts who had a major say in the Delhi's politics.
