Ramdev to support party that brings black money from banks

Joining the chorus of voices seeking to bring back the black money of Indians stashed away in Swiss banks, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Monday said that he will campaign for the party which promises to bring back this money.

"In Swiss bank there are crores of rupees and this should be used for development", Baba Ramdev, who was here to head a voters' awareness rally, told reporters.

He said that he would be willing to side the party that would fulfill this promise but added that if the same is not delivered then the country should boycott that government.

Seeking to be kept away from being linked with any political party, the yoga guru said he has always been a propagator of this thought and it should not be perceived from a political perspective in mind.

"As much as Rs 73 lakh crore has been stashed in the Swiss bank. They are willing to disclose the information. We should get the money back even if it meant waging a war with Swiss government," he said.

Ramdev requested electorates to cast vote on the basis of the quality of the candidate and not on the basis of the party they represented.
