Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson has warned his star players not to waste the hard work put into a season in which they have already lifted the Carling Cup and Club World Cup.

United's lead at the top of the Premier League was cut to four points at the weekend when they lost 4-1 to Liverpool.

According to The Sun, they still have a game in on hand on both the Reds and second-placed Chelsea.

Ferguson's men also have an FA Cup semi-final with Everton and the Champions League quarter-finals to look forward to.

And the United boss says he doesn't mind this period he loves to refer to as "squeaky bum time", so long as it's his players who are celebrating come May.
