VJ-turned actress Sophie Chaudhary, who was first noticed for her portrayal as Baby Doll Vol 3 in Pyar Ke Side Effects (PKSE), says not capitalising on the fame she received from the film will remain the biggest grouse of her career.

"'Pyaar Ke' was  my second film and being a new face from a London-based family, with no cinema background and no godfather and guidance, I could not use the fame to my advantage," the actress said.

"I did not realise how popular I was after the film. Even today people want to know if I would be interested in having a "coffee" with them. Not capitalising on that popularity is my biggest grouse and I am trying to learn from my mistakes," she said.

Sophie, who has been seen in cameo roles ever since, feels that her stint as a VJ came in the way of establishing herself as an actress.

"Having started as a VJ, I carried a lot of baggage.. with people having perceived notions about me. Everyone identified me with my sexy image and could not imagine me any other way," Sophie, who joined MTV as a VJ in 2002 and moved to Mumbai in 2003, said.

"Besides, it was pretty tough for me to balance my work as a VJ, singer and an actor. But now I'm concentrating completely on films."

However, after a two-year long hiatus, Sophie is ready to make a comeback on the silver screen, with romantic thriller Aa Dekhen Zara that also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu.

"I accepted the movie only because I was offered a good role and have many scenes opposite the Neil Nitin Mukesh. Incidentally, this is my first movie in which I don't sing or dance," the actress, who grew idolising Karisma Kapoor, said.

Sophie plays 'Sophia', a mysterious, young and intelligent character, who is not afraid to take risks. "My character brings an interesting twist to the story. Everybody will love her in the end."

With two more films - Alibaug and Daddy Cool- apart from Aa Dekhen Zara, that releases on March 27, lined up for release this year, does the actress expect to get
noticed for her acting skills ?

"I am confident as cinema has changed. Everyone can carve a niche for themselves," she said.
