The pretty 29-year-old actor Jasmine Hyde who has worked extensively in theatre including the Royal Shakespeare Company, has done shows for BBC TV and has also been seen in a film called Runt.

She says, “I’m missing him,” about her 10-month-old son Louis whom she has left back home in UK while she was recently in the country for a week to promote her upcoming movie A Distant Mirage.  

Besides her budding acting career, Hyde has a secret that is causing her to burst with excitement, “I’m getting married in June, 2009 to Jonathan Tafler (a British actor). I asked him to marry me on February 29th last year (It was a leap year) and he agreed.” 
And though she is gung ho about her marriage, she says, “My partner and I have an understanding. When he is working, I stay at home and take care of Louis and when I’m out, he takes over. But this is the first time he’s taking care of Louis for a week.”

Talking about her role in her upcoming movie, she says, “I’m playing Rosi, an English girl who lives in London. She is an independent and strong woman who is dating Micky, who happens to be married to a character called Usha. Obviously, Rosi doesn’t know about it.” 

The international actor loves Indian cinema. She says, “I watched Lagaan and I loved it. Aamir Khan was brilliant in it. I also loved the whole cast of Rock On. It is a wonderful film. Even Slumdog Millionaire is a good movie.” That apart, the actor also loves “Indian music and fashion and, surprisingly the weather.”
