Five Shiv Sena activists were on Saturday detained by police when they were trying to create trouble in public parks as part of their protests against Valentine's Day celebrations here.
    
The Sena activists were about to hold protest in Janakpuri and Budhha Garden areas, police said.
    
Elsewhere in the city, awakening marches were carried out by ABVP activists to "install cultural values and patriotism" among youngsters in the capital on the occasion. The march was taken out in Delhi University to spread awareness about "love for the country".
    
"We have no problem with love birds. They need to have more love for the country," Ashutosh Srivastava, pradesh mantri of ABVP, said.
    
He said about 60 activists of ABVP participated in the march that started from Arts Faculty. They tried to convince students about patriotism and that love should not be confined to individuals.
    
A troupe was associated with this march and sang patriotic songs during the campaign.
    
The Delhi unit of Hindu outfit Sri Rama Sene has asked its activists to go to different areas to check "love birds involving in obscene ways".

"They are going to public parks. If couples are found indulging in obscenity, their photographs will be taken and uploaded on websites to let the world know about this," Sri Rama Sene general secretary Vinay Kumar said.
    
Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat, however, said no untoward incident has been reported in the capital.
    
Elaborate security arrangements have been made to avoid any eventuality on the day, he said. Patrols have been intensified. Men in uniform, civil clothes and female policemen are keep vigil, he said.
    
Delhi police commissioner YS Dadwal had recently warned that Delhi will "not tolerate moral policing".
    
Meanwhile, National Panthers' Party has supported the Valentine's Day celebrations and said it would organise programme to lend their support to love birds.
