Modi, top BJP leaders to attend meet in Nagpur

Chief minister Narendra Modi along with a group of ministers and top leaders of the state BJP will attend a national executive meeting of the party in Nagpur beginning Friday.

Probable candidates for the state and the plan for the upcoming parliamentary polls will be discussed during the three-day meeting. The national executive and national council of the BJP will discuss effective strategies to emerge victorious in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

While the national executive will meet on Friday, the national council will meet on Saturday and Sunday. More than 250 members of the state BJP, including top office-bearers and district presidents, will attend this meet.

According to sources, the chief minister has been conducting meetings of district leaders and senior party workers of the BJP over the past four days, to discuss probable candidates. The BJP has to decide on 25 parliamentary candidates as LK Advani has already been announced as the candidate from Gandhinagar.

State BJP president Purshottam Rupala, national executive member Anandi Patel, and Kashiram Rana will be attending the Nagpur meeting.

Top leaders of the state will contribute their ideas on the manifesto for the BJP in the general elections.
