Chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday promised India's first Australian Open boy's champion Yuki Bhambri to provide all help required to continue his winning ways and bring more laurels to the country.

The Delhi government also announced a cash reward of Rs five lakh for Yuki.

"For any help in future, Yuki should not hesitate to come to her," Yuki's mother Indu quoted Dikshit as saying while giving details of their 15-minute meeting at the CM's
residence.

Yuki and his mother Indu were accompanied by All India Tennis Association secretary general Anil Khanna and two other officials.

"The meeting with the chief minister was very nice. She was very cordial and promised to help Yuki in future. She said: 'Yuki don't stop here. This is the first step and if you
need any help for training come to me and I will arrange'," Indu said.

Describing him as the most promising tennis player Dikshit expressed confidence that if given a chance Yuki would also prove his worth in the Davis Cup tournament.

"Every Delhiite is proud of Yuki who has brought laurels to the country," Dikshit said.

Yuki is the first Indian to win at Australian Open Grand Slam and fourth junior to win the boy's singles title after Ramanathan Krishnan, Ramesh Krishnan and Leander Paes.
