'Noida encounter reinforces Indian view on Pak role in terror'

As two suspected Pakistani terrorists were killed by the UP ATS in Noida in a pre-dawn encounter, the government on Sunday, said the incident once again underscores the persisting threat from terror groups operating from neighbouring country's soil.

"It once again underscored the persisting threat and the fact that there are individuals, there are organisations, which are targeting India and they are based in Pakistan," minister of State for external affairs Anand Sharma said here.

Stating that the incident itself was a matter of grave concern, Sharma said the government was impressing upon Pakistan to honour their commitments vis-a-vis dismantling of the terror outfits' infrastructure there.

"That's what we have been impressing upon the government there (Pakistan) to honour their commitments, to take effective actions, demonstrated actions to dismantle the infrastructure of these outfits, which have been targeting India and to neutralise the individuals," he told Times Now news channel.

Expressing happiness over the successful operation against the terrorists, Sharma said he was relieved the UP ATS was able to confront and neutralise them.
