Four youngsters were reportedly stabbed at a night club during the after-party of film Notorious, which chronicles the life of rapper Biggie Smalls.

The incident took place at Djumbala club in Brooklyn at around 3:25 am on Saturday. The club had advertised it as the "official" after-party of the movie but the production house has denied having any connection with it, reported the New York Post.

The police report said that a 21-year-old victim, who was stabbed many times, was in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital while the condition of other three was stable.

The spokesman for movie production company Fox Searchlight Pictures said, "It's an unfortunate and isolated incident, but there is no connection to the filmmakers or the studio."

Cynthia Cotto, 45, whose two nephews, Rob Davis, 21, and his brother Chris, 18, were among the injured, claims the club was letting in underage customers and failing to check them for weapons.

"The bouncers weren't doing their job," she told the newspaper. The authorities at the club were not available for comment.

Biggie Smalls, also known as Notorious Big, was born as Christopher Wallace in Brooklyn. He was murdered in Los Angeles in 1997 and his killers remain untraced to date.

His debut CD, Ready to Die, was a huge success. The film chronicles the tragic life of the artiste.
