Station master of Nazibabad railway station in Uttar Pradesh JS Dwiwedi received a letter threatening to blow railway stations at Rampur, Nazibabad, Laksar, Roorkie and Rishikesh, besides, various religious places in Uttarakhand, they said.

The letter has been sent from some place in Jammu and Kashmir by one Tasleem Mohammad, who claims himself to be self-styled area commander of JeM, the officers said, adding that the address mentioned was found to be fake during initial investigation.

The contents of the letter are being examined and the home secretaries of both the states have been informed, security commissioner Vivek Sagar told reporters.
