PANAJI: Even three days after the arrest of a suspect, from Assam with 'Pakistan links', Goa police have refused to divulge any details stating that the `interrogation
is still on.'

A middle aged youth was apprehended from the high security zone of Indian Naval enclave on December 23 mid night, hours before the union minister of state for home
Sriprakash Jaiswal's Goa visit to review security.

The defense security corpse who apprehended the suspect later handed him over to Mormugao police.

"He is still being interrogated. We cannot disclose any information at this moment," superintendent of police Atmaram Deshpande said.

The police confirmed that the suspect is from Assam and has Pakistan links. Police sources confirmed that some documents in Urdu were found with him, which are being
verified.

"We are still verifying certain things," Deshpande said refraining from elaborating on it.

The state police have said that the suspect cannot be termed as terrorist as the interrogation is still on. Goa is on alert to avoid any terror threat. The sand bag posts are erected at vital installations across the state while security is heightened with six paramilitary forces manning the beaches and main cities.
