LUCKNOW: If the Mayawati-led BSP is successful in garnering a good number of votes in the upcoming state assembly elections, chances are that polity in MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Delhi (which have had a stable political history) would soon become unstable. Results of last assembly in HP (where the BSP stunned everyone by scoring more than 6% votes) hint towards the trend.

Public response to the party's electoral campaigns for the state assembly elections has led the party chief to eye a golden future in other states.

BSP ministers and legislators are working to score well in the elections. Distribution of assembly tickets and winning strategy has been left entirely on state in-charges.

The BSP is working to add upper-caste voters to their kitty in these states. The party general secretary said: “Today, the BSP is not just the party of the SC/ST. A large number of people of “upper castes” of the society are also looking forward to the Mayawati-led government. The party will soon weaken vote banks of both the BJP and the Congress.”
