Seven killed, six others injured in accident

RAJKOT: Seven persons including two women were killed and six others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling rammed into a parked truck near Tankara town in the district, police said on Friday.
       
The mishap occurred early this morning, when at least 15 persons including a family from Rajasthan were travelling in a jeep whose driver lost control and rammed into a parked truck, police said.
       
Six persons died on the spot while one woman succumbed to injuries on the way to the civil hospital, police said.
       
The injured, two of whom are in a critical condition, have been admitted to Morbi civil hospital, they said.
       
A complaint has been registered against the jeep driver, who is absconding, police said.
