Student in custody for sending threatening email

A court has sent the BTech student, who allegedly sent an email to Rashtrapati Bhavan threatening the life of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, to two weeks in judicial custody.

KOCHI: A court here has sent the BTech student, who allegedly sent an email to Rashtrapati Bhavan threatening the life of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, to two weeks in judicial custody.

The student, Arun Surya, who was arrested on Friday, was produced at the residence of the judicial first class magistrate, Ernakulam, at about 10pm last night.

The email also stated that bombs would be set off in four places at Kochi and Delhi.
