NEW DELHI: The crowd may be sparse but there has been no let up in the security arrangements at the Ferozeshah Kotla ground, staging the third cricket Test between India and Australia.

Over 300 skilled personnel, including men and women, from a top security agency are manning the stadium entrances while the Delhi Police is forming the outer ring.

"We have deployed skilled security personnel including 100 men, 100 women and 30 managers. They are not just educated guards but they have modern skills," said Ravinder Manchanda, Patron of the Delhi and District Cricket Association.

"We are spending double the normal amount spent on security in such situations. We will also take services of sniffer dogs next time, like they do in Australia," he added.

"It's the uncertain times, so we don't want to leave any lose ends".
