MELBOURNE: Australian leg-spinning legend Shane Warne urged spinners Cameron White and Jason Krejza to be patient while bowling to Indian batsmen in the four-match Test series which started in Bangalore on Thursday.

White and Krejza, picked for the grueling series, have no experience of bowling in Indian conditions and Warne advised them not to get bogged down even if they go for some runs.

"As spinners over there, you have to accept you are going to go for a few more runs," he was quoted as saying in the 'Herald Sun'.

"Against some sides, you can come out and take your 5-60. But if you take your three, four, five wickets, it might cost you around about 1000 runs or more in India," said the spin great, who also came in for some harsh treatment from Indian batsmen during his days.

"You are going to go for a few more boundaries, a few more runs. Just be patient and accept they are going to play some good shots. The grounds are fast and they are little, but in your role, you can take a few of those crucial wickets.

"You may not dominate, but you can still play a huge role," said Warne, who last night doused speculation of making a comeback to the national team.

"There are no thoughts in my head at this stage of making a comeback," he said.

"But in my life you can never say never."
