Three debt ridden weavers have committed suicide at Sircilla in the district, police said.

KARIMNAGAR (AP): Three debt ridden weavers have committed suicide at Sircilla in the district, police said.
  
Three weavers C Mallesham (40), Vengala Srinivas (25) and Cherla Srinivas committed suicide in separate incidents on Saturday, said Deputy Superintendent of Police P Ashok.
  
While Mallesham committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan, Vengala Srinivas consumed the chemical. On the other, Cherla Srinivas ended his life by jumping into pond, Ashok said.

At least six weavers have committed suicide so far in the district in the last fortnight.

Meanwhile, the state government on Sunday announced Rs one lakh ex gratia to the each family of weavers who committed suicide on Saturday.
 
A three member committee of ministers on Sunday visited Sircilla and consoled the family members of the deceased. 

After consoling the bereaved families, the Minister for Roads and Buildings T Jeevan Reddy, Minister for Endowments J Ratnakar Rao and the incharge minister Sabita Indrareddy announced Rs.One lakh each to the families of the weavers besides providing free education to their children and houses.
 
On the demands of some weavers to waive their debts off, the ministers assured that they would negotiate the proposal with financiers.
 
They also announced Rs 25,000 each to the families on behalf of the Congress party.
 
K Rama Rao, leader of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) also consoled the weavers  families.
