Man kills wife and surrenders

KOLKATA: A petrol pump employee strangled his wife to death suspecting her of having an affair and turned himself in to the police on Wednesday morning.
    
The petrol pump employee, Soumen Sardar, a resident of Tiljala in east Kolkata city, suspecting that his wife, Astami was having an affair with a neighbour, strangled her on Tuesday night, the police said.
    
In the morning he went to the Tiljala police station and surrendered himself. He was arrested and was being interrogated, the sources said.
    
The police were yet to establish the identity of the person the man claimed was having an affair with his wife.
