NEW DELHI: India's leading telecom service provider Bharti Airtel on Monday launched its virtual calling card service, Airtel CallHome, in Singapore.

The move, which was a big success in the UK, aims to bring 400,000 non-resident Indians (NRIs) and students in Singapore closer to their friends and families in India, a company statement said.

Besides excellent call quality, the new service will offer competitive call rates, two-touch speed dialling for the numbers one calls frequently and will be available 24X7 for the customers, it added.

The company will also offer a bunch of value-added services on the platter such as Astro Chat and Friends Chat, keeping the entertainment value high.

Available on the pre-paid option only, the service will allow subscribers in Singapore make calls to India at 10.5 Singapore cents per minute on a toll-free access number.

As part of the promotional offer, subscribers will get 70 percent extra talk time on the card, bringing down the call rates to 6.2 cents per minute, the statement said.
