Badal should clarify his stand on violence in Orissa

JALANDHAR: Criticising the saffron forces for indulging in large scale violence against Christians in Orissa, National Executive member of Communist Party of India (CPI) Joginder Dayal Saturday challenged Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to clear his party's stand on the alliance with a communal party, which was allegedly responsible for such a violence.
  
"People from Minority community are being butchered by the saffron forces BJP, RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal and now I ask Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to clarify his party's stand on its relation with the parties, which indulged in violence against the minorities", Dayal said.
   
Either Badal should swear his ties with BJP or share the blame of massacre of the Christians and Muslim in Orissa and Gujrat respectively, he added.
   
He appealed to the centre also to intervene as state government was failed to protect rights and lives of the minority community in Orissa. If the violence continues for a long, it would have international ramifications as well, he warned.

Emphasizing the significance and relevance of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Badal said that our younger generations must be preached the noble teachings from this holy scripture.
   
The Chief Ministers said that all of us were fortunate enough to commemorate 9 anniversaries related to the Sikh history in our lifetime and now Tercentenary of Guru-ta-Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and 300th death anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji would be observed during this year.
   
He said that Rs.200 crore would be spent on the overall development of the holy cities of Sri Anandpur Sahib and Talwandi Sabo as a part of Guru-ta-Gaddi Diwas Celebrations.
   
He said that the prestigious project Guru Gobind Singh Marg linking Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib to Takhat Sri Sach Khand Hazoor Sahib Nanded via Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo was in the final stage and nod was awaited from Centre.
   
Badal also pointed out that Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University project was also a right step in the direction to spread the message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib to every nock and corner of the world.
