MUMBAI: The home front is happy and so must be Sourav Ganguly. Ganguly’s elder brother and former Bengal batsman Snehasish said that the award came at the right time. “It always feels good when you are chosen for an award and getting two awards at a time will surely make him a happy man,” Snehasish told DNA from Kolkata on Saturday.

Sourav, who is in London for his father’s treatment, was chosen the best Asian cricketer and batsman  at the Castrol Asian Cricket Awards in Karachi on Friday.
Snehasish feels that at this point of time, when he is out of the Indian ODI side, this award would give me some sort of satisfaction. “He is the kind of a player, who inspires himself and that kept him going for so long,” Snehasish said. Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar was named the Best ODI batsman while Gautam Gambhir got the honour in Twenty20.
