Rich farmers too should get it: Uddhav

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said that he was not happy with the loan waiver to farmers. He said Sena will continue its agitation till loans of all farmers were waived off.

Thackeray said, “We are satisfied but not happy. Loans of rich farmers too should be waived off as they also have faced financial crisis because of natural calamities.”

Thackeray took a dig at Nationalist Congress Party, which claimed that the loan waiver is an outcome of its efforts. He said, “If Congress and NCP want to take credit for the loan waiver, they should also take credit for the farmers’ suicides. Were they silent till the suicides reach to a specific number?”
